Why did joe start dundee mobile bottlers?

A: He first had the idea of a mobile bottling company when he returned from a winemaking apprenticeship in West Germany in 1986. As a long-time winemaker, winery owner, Joe’s focus has been foremost on quality and preservation of quality. He has always felt that it is good for the entire wine industry for each and every producer to bottle the highest quality possible. He felt that too often winemakers toiled to produce the best quality possible only to hand it off at the 90 yard line to a bottling company to put their wine into the bottle with equipment and services which were sometimes not up to the standards and technical options available in the market. He simply wanted the best tools and technology available for his wines and saw an opportunity to do this by offering DMB’s services to the industry.

Why would joe want to start a mobile bottling company after practicing his passion as a winemaker and winery owner for so many years?

A: As a hopeless entrepreneur Joe saw a business opportunity to fill a void within the mobile bottling industry utilizing technologies unique to the US in a mobile bottling format which give a competitive and qualitative advantage over other providers.

How many operators does DMB provide when bottling?

A: At a minimum we will almost always have two operators within the trailer. When carbonating and bottling sparkling beverages there will be three operators.

What is your minimum quantity for still beverage bottling?

A: For still products we generally adhere to a $3,500 minimum plus a $500 move in set up fee. This is roughly equivalent to 1,600 cases depending upon the product. This is as well dependent upon how far we need to travel as we may need to charge more for dedicated trips to eastern Washington, or Southern Oregon. When traveling further distances we generally try to coordinate bottling for multiple companies to reduce everyone’s costs. Each situation is different so it is best to discuss all details before assuming all costs.

What is your minimum quanity for bottlign of carbonated beverages?

A: The parameters are similar to still beverage bottling (above), but with a $4,500 minimum with a $1,000 move in set up fee. Pricing for carbonation and bottling of sparkling beverage is based upon a sliding quantity scale.
